Not all hearing aids and phones are compatible out of the box. Some setups may require:

  • Streamers

  • Adapters

  • Smartphone apps

During your consultation, we’ll review your phone model and hearing aid brand to ensure seamless connectivity. We’ll also show you how to pair and control your hearing aids from your mobile device.

Hearing Aid Battery FAQ

Hearing aid batteries are color-coded by size:

  • Yellow (Size 10)

  • Brown (Size 312)

  • Orange (Size 13)

  • Blue (Size 675)

We’ll confirm your correct size during your appointment.

Standard batteries last about 5–7 days, but features like Bluetooth streaming can drain them faster. Rechargeable models offer up to 24 hours of use per charge and may be worth considering.

To get the most from your batteries:

  • Open the battery door at night

  • Turn off your hearing aids when not in use

  • Store them in a dry, cool place

  • Use a hearing aid dehumidifier

  • Remove batteries if storing devices long-term

We’ll provide care tips during your fitting and offer clean and checks to ensure optimal performance.

We recommend keeping 8–10 disposable batteries in stock, especially if you travel. If you use rechargeable hearing aids, always bring your charging case when you’re away from home.

Simply opening the battery door helps preserve battery life. In humid environments or if exposed to moisture, you may also want to remove and gently dry the battery before reinserting it.

Rechargeable batteries are a popular option for their convenience and eco-friendliness. Many models now last 24+ hours on a single charge and only need battery replacement every 1 to 5 years, depending on the model.

If you’re interested in switching to rechargeable, we’ll review your device compatibility and walk you through your options.
